Universal announce a new resource estimate for the
Longamundi and Great Southern copper deposits. |
17/12/03 |
Preliminary shallow testing of Tin Lizzie and Lady
Clayre copper-gold targets within the Exploration Joint Venture Area
at Roseby (Universal 50% increasing to 70%) has provided encouraging
results requiring follow-up drilling to test the economic potential
of the targets. |
04/12/03 |
A program of 18 shallow open-hole percussion drill
holes to test the Zone F mineralisation at Lady Clayre achieved excellent
results. |

A recently completed RC drilling program undertaken
by Bolnisi Gold NL as part of the Roseby Feasibility Joint Venture at
the Longamundi and Great Southern deposits - important satellite deposits
for a mining operation based on the nearby, large native copper/oxide
Blackard deposit - has successfully improved the definition and extended
the limits of the known mineralisation. |

Universal has entered into a Subscription and Offtake
Option Agreement with Golden Sands International Pty Ltd (GSI), an Australian
company associated with Jinsha China. The deal requires GSI to subscribe
for between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 (the amount to be advised to Universal
by close of business on 6 October 2003) for fully paid shares in Universal
at a premium to market. In addition, GSI, as agent for Yunnan Copper
Industry (Group) Co. Ltd (a share holder of Jinsha China), will have
the Option to acquire Universal's share of any copper or copper concentrates
produced from the Roseby Project. |

Results from a programme of systematic rock-chip
sampling along the Mt Rose Bee Fault Zone and aimed at confirming copper
bearing zones, defining areas of high gold values within known copper
mineralization, checking gold geochemical anomalies, and assisting in
prioritising targets for future drilling, have now been received and
reviewed. All prospects sampled are rated highly for future delineation
of near surface copper gold resources with limited, or no, drilling
conducted in the past. |

June Qtly Significant increase in total high-grade
resources at Lady Clayre and Little Eva deposits which now stand at
11.6Mt at 1.07%Cu and 0.25g/t Au, and 8Mt at 1.01%Cu and 0.12g/t Au
respectively |
30/06/03 |
Following highly encouraging copper-gold drill results
from Universal's Little Eva and Lady Clayre deposits, the company will
now shift its exploration emphasis at the Roseby Exploration Joint Venture
towards developing sufficient resources in the short term to support
a mining and processing operation producing 15,000-25,000tpa copper
and 25,000-35,000oz/a gold with gross revenue of around A$60-70M per
annum. |
30/06/03 |
Recent drilling completed at the Lady Clayre prospect
within the Roseby Exploration Area clearly indicates that the Zone A
mineralisation continues to a verical depth of 400m. To date 17 of the
total 23 holes drilled to test Zone A have been successful and have
encountered an average combined length of mineralisation per hole of
34m at an average grade of 1.38% Cu and 0.72 gpt Au |

Recent deep drilling of the Little Eva copper-gold
mineralisation in the Roseby Exploration Area in northwestern Queensland
has established the potential to significantly increase the size of
this deposit both down dip and along strike. The recent recent drilling
program had successfully tested the mineralised porphyry to a depth
of approximately 350m, 100-200m below the currently defined resources
of 8Mt grading 1.01% copper within a global resource of 35Mt at 0.46%
copper |

Roseby Copper-Gold Exploration Update |
20/03/03 |
Dec Qtly At the Roseby Project in Queensland, a
new Inferred Resource estimate for the Little Eva deposit has been completed,
and which more than doubles the contained copper from 72,000t to 161,000t.
Also, drilling at the Lady Clayre prospect produced a number of high
grade copper-gold intersections |
